We are a non-profit facility, sponsored by the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio and served by the

Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm.

 We are an Ohio licensed Residential Care Facility

Since 1999 (we're 12 years old!!) we have provided supportive services and safety in a comfortable, residential setting for adults,

62 years or older.

 If you need assistance to manage some aspects of your daily life, but don't need intensive nursing care, at the Villas you will find the means to maintain your independence, privacy and individuality - yet,

you'll never be alone.

Step inside and you'll find common spaces designed to provide a friendly environment for gathering with your family, or with other Residents of the Villas.

We're always happy to have local groups and organizations come in to entertain us!

On May 7th we blessed and dedicated

our new flag pole.

Here one of our Priests (and himself an Army Veteran) blesses the pole and the flag.

Some of our employees - also Veterans - serve as color guard, preparing the colors to be posted for the first time!

The flag was raised by our 'Chuck' - a retired 22 year Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired with the rank of Master Sargent.

After the flag had been raised to the strains of

'The Star Spangled Banner', Sr Diane added these words before leading us all in

the Pledge of Allegiance:

"In the name of the citizens of the Villas, we have blessed, and now dedicate this flagpole. We dedicate it in the memory of all Americans since our country's beginnings, who on land, on sea and in the air, fought for their country and fell in defence of this flag"

Thanks to Father, we had very lively patriotic music! We think he could get a job playing at a ballpark! As long as he kept playing, nobody wanted to leave after the ceremony!

We had a great turn out! Many wore red white and blue, and some brought pictures of their loved ones in uniform. It was a simple but very moving cermony.

We are so proud to have "Old Glory" flying in front of the Villas!

In compliance with the United States Flag Code, it is a MADE IN AMERICA all weather flag, and we have installed a light to illuminate her,

 so she can be seen day and night!

Buddy says:

"Everyone is out here all excited about putting that pretty cloth up that pole. Not sure what that's all about, but it's nice to have company out here! And everybody's in a good mood, singing and petting me on the head. That is ALWAYS a good day!!"

It got a little hot for old Buddy though - he had to take a break!

When people come in, Budster sometimes will go  to the fireplace and take one of the decorative pinecones from the bucket to give as a gift. Evidently dogs like to give presents? Anyhow - when you come to visit, hope you like pinecones!
